Hey there, I'm Mike and I like to make things move just so. If you don't know what a graph editor is then you'll be glad I do, and if you are already familiar then you'll appreciate the levels to which I obsess over it. The small details are my favorite details and I love how the right motion can make a video sing. Bold or subtle, refined or reckless, I enjoy the process of dialing in the keyframes to tell a clear and engaging motion story.
I started my career as a 3d generalist at a small 3-person studio doing mostly local advertising work, using Maya and light After Effects. Since then I've switched to Cinema4D, dove into the deep end in After Effects and added Premiere and Illustrator to my skillset. I enjoy working solo and as part of a team, having worked as both a full-time freelancer as well as a motion designer at a BBDO agency. I can take projects from visualization and mood boards through to completion with editing, sound design, and of course the best part, motion graphics. Whether it's a 6-second typography animation for social or a 6-screen fully animated event opener, I'm ready, willing, and able (just please budget accordingly).
